SEPTEMBER 13th SLAM POETRY: RIKKI LIVERMORE UK
RikTheMost (aka Rikki Livermore) is a poet constantly seeking understanding: intrigued by psychology, philosophy, motivation, interaction and reaction. He enjoys taking inspiration from both amazing and horrifying aspects of humanity to create works that question and deeply explore the world in which we live. As a well-known figure on the UK spoken word scene, he has featured at many of the main nights, venues and festivals such as The Royal Albert Hall, Apples & Snakes events, Poetry in London, Lost Lectures and The Secret Garden Party, as well as winning numerous slams including Hammer and A Tongue, Bang Said The Gun, Slamalamadingdong and The Olympic “Poetry of Place” Slam. His work has been featured by a number of worthy causes and campaigns, including the National Union of Teachers, art exhibitions in Tasmania, Finland and the UK including a commission from the BBC to write two modern war poems for their World War One At Home Tour – commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1st World War. More recently Rik has been touring Australia for the past year, performing in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane, whilst also qualifying to represent Australia in their first ever slam team, heading to Denver USA to compete in the USA National Poetry Slam finals in August 2017.
